The department of English organized its third Extempore Speech Competition on June 15, 2022 at the permanent campus of NUB. A total number of ten students participated at the event while the rest was there to cheer for their favorite classmate to win. The judges designated some contemporary topics to the participants and each participant got 3.5 minutes to deliver their speech. It was another delightful, inspiring and lively event organized by the Dept. and all the students expressed their satisfaction for having such a skill-developing and invigorating opportunity. The session was inaugurated by Mohammad Jashim Uddin, respected Head and Asst. Prof. Dept. of English and hosted by Mariama Muarif, Lecturer, Dept. of English,NUB. Furthermore, five judges were present to assess the participants performances: Mohammad Mozammel Haque, Asst. Prof., Farha Naz, Senior Lecturer, MD. Saber E Montaha, Senior Lecturer, Fahima Tasnim, Lecturer and Nazia Pervin Shefa, Lecturer, Dept. of English, NUB. In the end, three candidates became victorious to claim the prizes of this year's departmental extempore speech competition. The winners are Nabil Saad (4th Semester)- 1st place, Towsif Anam Sakib (2nd Semester)- 2nd place, Marine Sarker (11th Semester)- 3rd place
